Our products come from makers across the world,
reflecting a pride and excellence in craftsmanship. Most of what we sell
is made by hand using skills and traditions passed down for generations
and as a result our products will have an individual feel and look.
Where possible we highlight the source of the product and provide
specific information on trading policies and the groups supported.
Making traditional crafts or items developed for a western market
provides an additional means either to preserve traditional community
skills or to generate income through employment.
We have traditionally supported UK craftspeople through our shops and continue to do so. This gives a valuable additional outlet for these very talented people as they persevere in making a living in a mass-market economy.
